Boys at the cabin for the first time.

The boys loved the cabin. The snowmachine ride put Luke to sleep. They loved playing in the snow making snow angels. Inside the cabin they explored everything, then ran from one end of the cabin to the other, and topped it all off with jumping on the beds!

As Caleb said "The cabin is the BEST!" On the way home Luke just kept saying "Happy, happy, happy!"

The cabin

We finally got to make it up to our new cabin. It was a great time. We are going to have a great time making it our own. The boys loved tromping around and Jarrett had to shovel all the snow off the roof!

You can only get the cabin by snowmachine, boat, or plane... all of which we didn't have at the time of purchase... yeah, we're crazy.

On our way out to the cabin, I had one of those moments were you are so thankful you are blessed in so many wonderful ways, to live in a beautiful place, to have a wonderful adventurous family, and to be able to have all these experiences!

We look forward to having all our friends and family come on up and enjoy the cabin with us!

Messy Messy Luke!

I don't know what it is about Luke but he loves to make quite a mess out of anything he eats or finds. I always find myself wondering if I should reprimand him or just get the camera.

These boys are so diverse, one moment they are helping eachother, the next they are wrestling and giving eachother torture.

Where's the moose?

One of my favorite drives in the winter, well anytime is up to Hatcher's Pass. In the winter I like to drag the kids up there and look for moose that are bedded down. In the above picture we spotted five moose just laying around in -20 weather.

Then we came home and this guy is right in our front yard. Luke loves to see moose. He moose calls to them and then goes and to get his bow to shoot at them. He sat at the window for 15 minutes watching this guy.

It's COLD!

Yep it say minus twenty.... it is freezing outside.

Luke

Luke just loves his picture taken. He will go get the camera and hand it to me while say "cheese". After I take the photo he runs over to check the screen on the camera, he has to see his picture right away. What a ham!

Pirates

Caleb still loves to be a pirate. He even gets his friends in on it!

It's time to go....

Well I am sad to say that my parents are leaving tomorrow. It has been a joy to have them, they came on Oct 28th. It has been really fun, they were here for Halloween, Thanksgiving, Caleb's birthday, and just tonight Christmas decorating. They helped me complete so many projects babysitting, rearranging the boys toys and clothes, painting the interior, cleaning garage, creating a guest room, cleaning all closets, tile the entry way, curtains in boys rooms, cook, and so much more! I think they have to go home to have a vacation. Thanks so much guys, we love you!

Caleb is Four!!!

Caleb could not wait for his Pirate Birthday. He didn't just have a birthday party he had a birthday weekend. Saturday we went to H2Oasis. Grandma and Papa liked it just as much as the Caleb and Luke. Then we had a birthday party with our friends on Sunday. We had a treasure hunt and a pinata. We finished it all off with a peice of pirate cake, Jarrett created it himself. It was a great party with Yo Ho Yo Ho Its a Pirate Life for Me in the backgound the whole time!!!

Oh and the best part was the adults who dress up as pirates! Way to go Tony and Rene!

Thanksgiving 2006

We celebrated Thanksgiving at church. We had a great feast, fun company and topped it all off with a talent show. Caleb shared his talent of standing on one foot. He got up there and stood on one foot, everyone clapped and he then showed them he could stand on the other foot. He just kept switching from one foot from the other. I think he would have stayed up there all night.

We have so much to be thankful for God, family, friends, health so much more.

Big Boots to Fill

It is amazing how quickly they grow up. Luke was trying on Jarrett's boots the other day and I remembered when Caleb was doing that same thing not to long ago.

Do you like my two little knights in shining armor. My mom made these great costumes the boys got lots of compliments. It was really fun. The boy got to dig through the haystack for real money.... all kinds of excitement.

Hallowe'en Spooktacular

We had a great trip to Portage Glacier Vistor Center. Each year they decorate their facility up really well and do a great job of explaining different thing in nature. This year was about alien invaders in other words, things that are not native to Alaska. The drive was beautiful and after we finished it all we topped it off with picking Grandma and Papa up at the airport. They will be staying with us until the beginning of December. Yahoo!

First

Tonight Caleb informed me he was a big boy and no longer needed the rail on his bed. I hope he doesn't fall out of bed tonight :)

This is also the first we have seen snow this season... so looks like winter is sneaking up on us.

Love and snow boots,

Fall Hike up the Butte

We got a great hike in on the Butte. We went with some new friends from church. Caleb hiked the entire mountain by himself. Luke had it a little easier in the backpack. Thankfully Autumn was with us to help Caleb down all the steep switch backs. It was a beautiful fall day.... winter is on it way! Oh, in the photo, Luke didn't fall he just lost his shoe and laid down to throw a fit...I found it kind of amusing.
