Everything is fine and according to Eli's due date he should be here today!!! But you know how that goes.
Anyways I had a sonogram yesterday (sorry, no cute 3D images, he was hiding) and my doctor will review the results today and decide if we should induce labor (both Caleb and Luke were induced). I am very large and the predicted weight of our little guy was 11.2#. BUT the results are skewed due to extra amniotic fluid and other factors. However it is still funny to say just for the shock factor.
We rode our four wheelers into Eklunta, had a picnic and played at the lake. The boys had a blast. So am I a "real" Alaskan woman if I can do a 15 mile four wheeler ride at 37 weeks or just crazy?
Ant watched the boys while I went to a doctor's appointment and this is what I get emailed to me. We are so thankful she loves to take pictures. (and watch the boys!!)
Today Caleb led his first song at church. After much consideration he chose "Jesus Loves Me".
We practiced at home and it was a very entertaining process. Each time before he sang he would clear his voice, then he would change the number of the song, and sometimes he would just create his own version of the song. He even grabbed his guitar to spice things up. It is hard to harness such a creative performer :)
But I am glad to report that he did a great job. He felt like a big boy doing such an important job.
This is Caleb's first photo. Julie was recently visiting and said " Oh, I wish we could get a photo of the two of us......" So I thought Caleb can do it, we showed him how then posed. He took the picture and when I asked him if he got the two of us he said, "Yep!" So you can image the chuckle we got when we reviewed the picture. Yes, he did get us but only our bellies!!! So I guess everyone get to see the 8 month prego belly!
It was great to see Julie, it has been about six years! We had a great visit and the boys loved her! We ran to Hatcher's Pass, then lunch at the Sourdough Mining Company, and stopped quickly at Saturday Market. We jammed as much as we could into our 15 hour visit!
We went to a church BBQ, they had a beautiful yard, yummy food, and great fellowship! Ant was armed her camera so we got some fun shots. Have a great day!
The boys had a great time at the range. Caleb got to shot his BB gun and Luke got to wear cool ear muffs and have his diaper changed. (Isn't Jarrett a great dad) The boys love hanging out with their dad.
Caleb received a prize from his teacher (Jake) for being the only kiddo to remember his memory verse in bible class. "For God made me." You can imagine my surprise, considering this super mom had no idea he even had a memory verse! With that being said... We are so proud of our little guy. Jake gave Caleb a little bag of candy and cars, when Luke saw his brother with candy he began to cry... he wanted a sucker... Caleb being the caring brother gave up his sucker to his brother... he said it was the nice thing to do.
So here is a picture of Caleb and his loot.. (Please note he had to wear his California shirt) And of course the camera can not be out without Luke wanting to get in on the action.
My friend Casey and I went to Hatcher's pass to get the boys out for a while. It was beautiful and a good workout walking the trails. Luke was, as usual, loving getting his photo taken. Caleb was of exploring everything. Busy boys!
We went to the Colony Day Parade, the boys had a good time and got a bit of candy. Caleb waved to everyone and Luke was in the comfort of Stacey's arms.
