It's time to go....
Well I am sad to say that my parents are leaving tomorrow. It has been a joy to have them, they came on Oct 28th. It has been really fun, they were here for Halloween, Thanksgiving, Caleb's birthday, and just tonight Christmas decorating. They helped me complete so many projects babysitting, rearranging the boys toys and clothes, painting the interior, cleaning garage, creating a guest room, cleaning all closets, tile the entry way, curtains in boys rooms, cook, and so much more! I think they have to go home to have a vacation. Thanks so much guys, we love you!

Caleb could not wait for his Pirate Birthday. He didn't just have a birthday party he had a birthday weekend. Saturday we went to H2Oasis. Grandma and Papa liked it just as much as the Caleb and Luke. Then we had a birthday party with our friends on Sunday. We had a treasure hunt and a pinata. We finished it all off with a peice of pirate cake, Jarrett created it himself. It was a great party with Yo Ho Yo Ho Its a Pirate Life for Me in the backgound the whole time!!!
Oh and the best part was the adults who dress up as pirates! Way to go Tony and Rene!

Thanksgiving 2006
We celebrated Thanksgiving at church. We had a great feast, fun company and topped it all off with a talent show. Caleb shared his talent of standing on one foot. He got up there and stood on one foot, everyone clapped and he then showed them he could stand on the other foot. He just kept switching from one foot from the other. I think he would have stayed up there all night.
We have so much to be thankful for God, family, friends, health so much more.

Around here when it 20 degrees we try to do trick or treat things that are inside. So we went to this carnival we go to each year it was really fun. Do you like my two little knights in shining armor. My mom made these great costumes the boys got lots of compliments. It was really fun. The boy got to dig through the haystack for real money.... all kinds of excitement.

Hallowe'en Spooktacular
We had a great trip to Portage Glacier Vistor Center. Each year they decorate their facility up really well and do a great job of explaining different thing in nature. This year was about alien invaders in other words, things that are not native to Alaska. The drive was beautiful and after we finished it all we topped it off with picking Grandma and Papa up at the airport. They will be staying with us until the beginning of December. Yahoo!

Fall Hike up the Butte
We got a great hike in on the Butte. We went with some new friends from church. Caleb hiked the entire mountain by himself. Luke had it a little easier in the backpack. Thankfully Autumn was with us to help Caleb down all the steep switch backs. It was a beautiful fall day.... winter is on it way! Oh, in the photo, Luke didn't fall he just lost his shoe and laid down to throw a fit...I found it kind of amusing.

Karate and Crazy Hair
Caleb stated his Karate class today. It is a half hour of Karate then a half hour of gymnastics. He really enjoyed the class. His buddy Maggie is in the class to so they have a great time.
Luke's hair continues to grow. We just can't bring ourselves to cut our baby's hair. How long do you think we should wait?

My Husband the Sheep Hunter
Well Jarrett was at it again, home decorating. Or as he would call it sheep hunting. Jarrett was set for a ten day solo hunt in the far off mountains of Alaska. He was flown in prior to season, found this guy and got him on opening day. So our newest addition to the wall decorations will be ready before Christmas. Jarrett also got a moose tag on the air force base in Anchorage, a brown bear tag for spring on Kodiak Island, in November he will be hunting sitka blacktail on Kodiak Island with Reese, and he is trying to find a way up the haul road for a caribou. So do you think this guy gets to hunt enough? I just keep thinking of when the boys are old enough they will all be going together, how sweet.
Love and sheep meat,

Prayers for Jake
A friend and son of one of our favorite Alaskan families fell while sheep hunting with his dad on August 18th. Jake is still in ICU, for those of you who know him and would like to check his daily progress you can do so at How is Jake?
This is a photo of Jake and Luke being "tough guys".
Please keep Jake and his very special family in your thoughts and prayers.
Thanks

VBS
Caleb finished his session of vacation bible school. He had a great time, he came home with lots of crafts and learned lots of new bible song. His favorite song is the Hip Hip Hippopotamus song! He received a bible for bringing the most friends in his class. On the last day he was pretty tuckered so he said, "Mom, I'm a little tired... maybe I should not go to PBS today!" Ah, but mom became very accustom to having Caleb in school from 9:30 to 12.

Company
We love to have company. I love going to all the touristee places. I love living in a place that people love to come visit. (In the summer). Anyways we had a great visit with Richard and Carol. We visited late into the night. Richard enjoyed the access to high speed internet. What a sweet couple.

Govenor's Picnic
We attended the governor's picnic. It was fun, games and salmon burgers. Caleb like the activity were you mined for oil in a cupcake. As you can see he really enjoyed the frosting. Then we had to tear him away from the big inflated slide. Aunt Stacey is so helpful, she is great at wrangling the boys. Luke loved running around in the grass.

Dipnetting
Okay, I have to admit, dipnetting is one of my favorite things to do.....
How can you beat floating down the Kenai with great company catching reds! I love it.
We camped at the Diamond M Ranch it is a fun little place, but what makes it so great is the company. There are about ten church families and we all camp together, it's like a little fishing commune. Fun Fun Fun.
Gary was kind enough to introduce Caleb to filleting fish. He is a brave man. We all had a great time.
